Plural Heart

This has been our most complicated, work-intensive, and heartfelt piece as of writing this. This, is the Plural Heart. An absolutely massive 3D printed mural dedicated to our system. Surrounding it are the words  "Put us together - Tear us apart - You cannot shatter what's already fractured - Only put the pieces back together and find beauty in their patterns - The Hourglass System". A sentiment about our resilience and persistence, going to hell and back almost constantly.

Our system symbol is fractured in the center with tons of different colors. We feel a strong connection to fracture patterns. Our notebooks in high school had notes about our day or thoughts organized (more likely disorganized) into separate fractures. It feels like how our memory is laid out. The fracture extends to the purple plates forming a heart around the symbol. Some are blank, but others decorated with symbols for different alters. They are held on with magnets to be put together and taken apart by the audience as they pass through.

Some alters have decorated their plates with their own flair. The hope is to eventually have each alter decorate their plate. However, that is a gradual and careful process. Forcing other alters to front, especially when they don't want to or are not in a healthy state to, is a dangerous game. So, we shall give ourselves time to fill in the fractures and reveal the rest of our heart.
