When you get assaulted, premeditated or not, sexual or physical, you stop feeling safe. We can’t walk outside at night without something to defend ourselves. We are always so on edge and paranoid someone is going to come up from behind us. Even when our back is to a wall. But then we also don’t want to get cornered. It is so difficult to get that feeling of safety back. One common method though, self-defense training. This can either be with a trainer or taking a piece of wood, drawing a target, and teaching yourself knife throwing. Because if anyone is going to try to hurt us ever again, they’re not getting out unscathed. We won’t let them.

A wooden board with a silhouette with different target areas on it. The shoulder area reads "YOU WILL NEVER HURT ME AGAIN". Underneath that carved into the wood is "I WONT LET YOU" Along the main body are hundreds of knife slashes and nicks from throwing knives on two X-shaped spots above the silhouette on the left and right side. In the center of the head is a karambit sticking out of the wood.

The YOU WILL NEVER HURT ME AGAIN piece from the right 45 profile to better show the karambit sticking out of the wood. It is black and purple and has a galaxy design on the blade. It also reveals the depth of the slashes into the wood.
